Staff
The
Staff of University United Methodist Church is here to help
you in any way possible. Please feel free to contact any one

Our
Pastor is Rev. Linda Harris. Linda is an ordained
elder in the United Methodist Church. She has served in local
churches and in outreach ministries. Linda has served at UUMC
since July of2000. Linda coordinates the staff, preaches almost
weekly and provides pastoral care to members and friends of
UUMC in addition to her many other duties.
Our
Director of Program Ministries, Rev. Brenda Stobbe
is an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church and has
served at UUMC since April of 1997. Brenda coordinates the
program ministries of UUMC and works closely with laity to
develop leadership for each ministry. Brenda preaches monthly.
Henry
Glass, our Director of Music, serves as organist
as well as coordinator of our many music ministries. Henry
joined out staff in February, 2001. Henry directs the Chancel
Choir and coordinates all the choral and instrumental groups
that participate at UUMC.
Our
preschool director, Pam Schmidt has been part
of UUMC for nearly twelve years. In June of 2001 Pam assumed
the role of director of the preschool, bringing her years
of experience full circle as she leads the preschool teaching
staff made up of nine teachers.
Debbie
Murray is our office manager at UUMC and has been
part of this church for years. When you call the church office,
you will probably speak to Debbie first! In addition to her
duties in the office, Debbie serves as the wedding coordinator
for UUMC.
Emily
Hopkins, MSW, is the director of the Kids' Place
program. In August of 2002 Emily will become a full time
staff person, after serving for two years in a part time capacity.
Office
Hours
The
church office is open Monday through Friday from 9-3. Staff
members are usually available earlier and later than office
hours, but we suggest you call us at 314-863-8055 before stopping
by so you may be certain there is someone here to help you.
