Inviting Ministries
"Inviting Ministries is not limited to a committee at UUMC, but is quite clearly the work of the whole church. The more we invest of ourselves there, the more we are touched by the warmth, humor and kindness of others. UUMC is a family, and everyone is part of it."
Inviting Ministries focus on seeking ways to promote UUMC in our community to more easily invite and then welcome people into our fellowship.
"One of the things that first attracted me to UUMC was the warm welcome I received on my first visit. The congregation firmly believes in welcoming everyone who comes through the doors. As such, I believe that the Loaves and Fishes program is a great way to reach out to visitors and make them feel welcome."
Freshly baked bread, first Sunday potlucks, participation in the St. Louis Gay Pride Festival, as well as welcoming signs and maps are all part of Inviting Ministries.
