Know God's Joy. Work for Justice. Practice Peace

Worship Times

The central act for the community of faith at University UMC is the worship service.  Our worship service is held on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.

Children are incorporated into the Sunday worship service through age-appropriate bulletins as well as a Story time, when they are invited to the front of the sanctuary for a brief message that focuses on their needs. Following Story time, all children ages three through 2nd grade are invited to leave the sanctuary and join leaders on the lower level for a children's worship time.

Hearing assist devices are available for those who need them. An usher can help you.

Handicapped access is available through the front of the sanctuary.

The sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated during worship on the first Sunday of each month. As is true in all United Methodist churches, University UMC has an open table. Anyone who wishes to receive communion may do so, regardless of their church affiliation. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the communion rail with them.

Each Sunday morning we gather at 9:00 AM for an inter-generational celebration, followed by Sunday School for all ages at 9:15 and worship at 10:30. Nursery care is provided for children ages 2 and under from 9 AM -noon each Sunday. After worship we gather in our Fellowship Hall for coffee, bagels or cookies and conversation.
